Vinyl Wrap Installation Guides
Our installation guide is focused on a vehicle graphics installation, however the same principles apply
when applying vinyl graphics to other applications.
IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE YOU BEGIN
PREPARING THE INTENDED SURFACE:
Before you apply vinyl wrap graphics, ensure that it has been thoroughly cleaned and dried. A general wash is usually good enough but it is advisable to use Isopropyl Alcohol Spray over the areas where the graphics will be installed to ensure waxes, grease and dirt have been fully removed.
DO NOT apply vinyl wrap graphics wet. A wet application is not suitable for vinyl wrap graphics.
AIR FLOW
Our wraps have an air flow system that eliminates air bubbles as you apply the graphics.
With the use of a squeegee any trapped air can be pushed out and will flow through the channels on the adhesive side of the graphics.
GLIDE AND TACK ADHESIVE
Some of our vinyl wraps has a glide and tack adhesive system where the adhesive is only activated once you begin to squeegee and apply firm pressure. If your wrap has this feature, it will be noted in the materials list on the design print-out.
This allows you to glide the graphic into place without it sticking to the surface instantly.
After applying the wrap, apply gentle heat all over to help activate the adhesive, this will ensure a stronger bond. Be careful not to overheat the graphic as this can be damaged if too much heat is applied.
